General Surgeon

About this role: As a General Surgeon at Bear River Clinic and Bear River Valley Hospital , you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role, you’ll join a community‑focused general surgery practice serving a high‑need rural population, offering autonomy, procedural variety, and long‑term stability through a full‑scope general surgery practice with a strong endoscopy component. This is a solo General Surgeon position with the opportunity to collaborate with a larger regional group, as well as the chance to build and grow a robotics program with a surgical robot expected to arrive by the end of the year. 2 days clinic per week Call expectations include 8 days of call built into the base salary, with additional compensation for any excess coverage. What you’ll bring: MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one BLS, ACLS certification and DEA Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process Endoscopy proficiency required as this community has a significant need for endoscopic services Robotic surgery experience or strong interest preferred, with a robotic platform expected to be implemented by the end of the year About us: Intermountain Health  is a model health system by providing extraordinary care and superior service at an affordable cost.
