The Boise team provides civil and structural engineering services throughout Idaho and the surrounding region, contributing to projects that shape the local skyline and contribute to Idaho’s continued growth. Our portfolio includes work for Boise State University, the City of Boise, the State of Idaho, University of Idaho, St. Luke’s Medical Center, and others, along with a wide range of public and private projects delivered in partnership with leading architects, developers, and contractors.  About the Role  Are you ready to take the next step in your career and contribute to impactful engineering projects? We are seeking a Structural Project Engineer or Project Manager in Training who is motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn. In this role, you’ll take on increasing responsibility, expand your technical and leadership skills, and play a key role in shaping innovative structural solutions.  What You’ll Do  Lead & Contribute: Take ownership of design tasks, analysis, and documentation while working on or managing engineering projects appropriate to your experience level.  Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with architects, owners, and contractors to ensure successful outcomes.  Deliver Quality Solutions: Apply engineering knowledge and creative problem-solving to deliver practical, innovative designs.  Mentorship & Growth: Learn from senior engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.  Train and support entry level engineering to assist them in developing their career.  Be Part of Idaho’s Growth: Contribute to projects that shape the community, from commercial developments to public facilities.    Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).  At least three years of relevant structural engineering experience, demonstrating strong technical and organizational abilities.  PE license preferred, or a clear commitment to pursuing licensure with support from KPFF’s professional development programs.  Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with ETABS, RAM, RISA 3D, SAP2000, SAFE, or other structural analysis and design software.  Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.  Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.  A proactive, curious, and adaptable mindset, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.  Physical Demands and Work Environment: Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.  Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.  Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.  Why Join KPFF:    Career Advancement & Professional Freedom : We are dedicated to the career advancement of our team members and promote a culture where professional growth is always in sight. You’ll find a conducive atmosphere for enhancing your skills and progressing in your career, bolstered by KPFF’s commitment to providing training and opportunities with the flexibility to tailor your career path.  Supportive & Dynamic Work Culture:  Experience a supportive environment brimming with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
