Job Summary As a Quality Engineer within our SiOPs Customer Quality Engineering team in Taipei, you will play a key role in analyzing customer returns, ensuring product excellence, and driving continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. You will ensure that electronic products and processes meet quality standards by applying statistical methods and problem-solving techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce defects. Responsibilities include implementing quality control systems, analyzing product specifications, collaborating with test engineering and manufacturing teams, and conducting root cause analysis. This role is focused on improving product reliability and process efficiency throughout the product lifecycle. Knowledge of high-capacity switching devices for Ethernet applications and SerDes converters is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality-related activities is required. A BS degree in a relevant discipline (Electronics, Software, or Hardware) is required. Key Responsibilities Quality System Development: Implement quality control systems and procedures for the inspection and evaluation of electronic components and products. Process Analysis & Improvement: Analyze manufacturing processes and products using statistical tools to identify inefficiencies and defects, and recommend or implement improvements. Problem-Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues and failures, conduct root cause analysis, and develop and implement corrective actions (using the 8D technique). Product Lifecycle Support: Oversee quality aspects from concept and design through production, working with cross-functional teams to integrate systems into final products. Testing and Validation: Oversee the design and implementation of testing protocols to ensure electronic products meet specifications and standards. Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of highly integrated electronic circuits, components, manufacturing processes, and quality control methods. Statistical Analysis: Proficiency in using statistical methods for quality control, data analysis, and problem-solving. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions. Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues. Here a very simple introduction of my team: team is made up of 6 people, distributed between San Jose (4 members) and Taipei (2 members). I am based in Italy, where I mostly work remotely, although I often go to the office to better coordinate activities. We are a newly formed and rapidly growing team. We have already defined our workflow and are currently focusing on improving our technical skills as well as analyzing the root causes of many of our problems to continuously enhance our processes.
