Housekeeping EVS Manager

Job Description: Provides leadership, planning and day-to-day coordination for Environmental Services department and Linen Services. Maintains the standards of cleanliness and appearance as established by the facility and regulatory standards. Schedule : Day Shift (mostly) Hours : Full-time *This is a Leadership role will require some flex in the schedule to support and lead all shifts. Work mostly Monday - Friday Essential Functions Coordinates department day-to-day operations, staff and resources to ensure hospital standards of cleanliness, sanitation and appearance are met. Responsible for hiring, orienting, staff development, education, and performance management. Builds a cohesive team and promotes employee engagement. Ensures department operates according to Intermountain policies / procedures and other regulatory agencies including Joint Commission and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Ensures department follows EVS system standard processes, guidelines, and supplies Monitors customer / patient satisfaction scores. Develops and implements plans to achieve desired outcomes Manages operating expenses for Environmental Services and Linen. Uses resources effectively and manages expenses to meet financial goals Performs cleaning duties as needed based on staffing, patient loads, and time constraints May include responsibility for linen services May be asked to fill in for vacant manager positions as needed May be at a critical access hospital/care site or as part of the leadership team at a larger care site Skills Communication Coaching Critical Thinking People Management Employee Training and Orientation Team Engagement Customer Service Use of Software Programs and Email Recruiting Scheduling Qualifications Demonstrated leadership experience, including effective coaching, team building, and conflict resolution skills Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, supervise, and delegate for a facility requiring services 24 hours per day, seven days per week Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and the ability to learn new software Demonstrated experience in Environmental Services in a hospital setting (preferred) Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles Location: Holy Rosary Hospital Work City: Miles City Work State: Montana Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
