About the team The Salesforce Enterprise Security Engineering team is seeking an experienced software engineer to help design, build and manage self-service application administration platform (SSAAP). SSAAP is a highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed system with a focus on enabling the enterprise customers to self-service onboard their applications to IAM services to be compliant with the Enterprise Security standards. We are building identity and access services that unify our IT network, cloud platforms, and internal infrastructure—ensuring every Salesforce engineer can work securely, no matter the environment. The team requires a full stack software development engineer with a track record of building modern services and applications following Software Development Life Cycle and best security development practices. The candidate will join the team working on Identity Management related tools and services, so understanding of the identity management technologies in the authentication, authorization and identity governance space is important for this role. The SSAAP team aims to deliver an exceptional user experience to our Enterprise applications & assets owners and users through the platform. This is accomplished through innovation, automation, and Agile excellence, ensuring a secure and efficient environment for the organization. About the position An ideal Senior Engineer will have strong proficiency in Go, Java, and Python, Agentic/AI technologies, containerization, API design, cloud databases and storage, messaging systems, and both front-end and back-end development. They take ownership of initiatives, embody accountability, anticipate and solve problems, and are ready to engage in R&D as needed. The candidate should adapt quickly to a fast-paced, team-driven environment, communicate effectively, continuously learn and coach junior engineers. They should be comfortable working independently, in small cross-functional groups, or in large teams across time zones, building strong collaborative relationships. This role offers the opportunity to excel in a performance-driven environment alongside subject matter experts and innovative leaders. Responsibilities : Own the full development lifecycle for IAM solutions, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of user experience. Collaborate across core product teams, IAM service teams, and customer zero teams (business analysts, UX designers, QA, product management, operations, governance) to refine requirements, ensure compliance, and deliver intuitive, high-quality solutions. Develop and integrate features—including backend, frontend, Agentic components where applicable, and customer integrations—while providing technical guidance and troubleshooting across platforms and technologies.
