About the Team
The DET Sales team (Salesforce Innovation team) is seeking a tenured, driven Senior Product Owner to lead critical enhancements for the Salesforce Innovation Center (SIC). In this role, you will act as Customer Zero, defining the strategy and execution for scalable, high-impact slack and AI-powered agent experiences. You will be the primary liaison between our partners and the development team, transforming product vision into high-impact delivery increments.
As a member of the team, you will specialize in driving the transformational initiatives that accelerate the success of Sales through slack and AI first automation and digital engagement to achieve strategic goals. You will act as the liaison with our partners and the development team, guiding the product development process, defining the product vision, and running the product backlog. You will be responsible for improving the value of the product and ensuring that the team delivers features that meet customer needs and expectations.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled tenured Product Owner with 5 years of progressive, demonstrable experience to own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for our SIC programs. In this role, you will serve as the strategic product owner and business arbiter for the development lifecycle, transforming the product vision into quantifiable, high-impact delivery increments.
As Customer Zero, you’ll define the product strategy, roadmap, and execution plan for scalable, secure, and high-impact AI-powered agent experiences across our internal Salesforce Innovation Center Operations team . Your work will directly enhance Sales Account Executive productivity, Ops efficiency, automate complex sales workflows, and transform how we use Salesforce’s platform to drive pipeline and reduce customer attrition. You will work cross functionally with sales, revenue and platform teams focussed on slack and AI and Agent capabilities, while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and cross-cloud collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Vision & AI Innovation
Agent-First Strategy: Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for AI-powered agent experiences across the SIC Operations team.
AI Evangelism: Champion AI maturity and actively integrate AI into Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) to scale autonomous agents and influence platform direction.
Business Transformation: Drive initiatives that accelerate Sales success through Slack and AI-first automation, focusing on enhancing AE productivity and automating complex workflows.
Stakeholder Alignment: Routinely present complex product strategies and executive-level roadmaps to development teams and executive partners to ensure continuous alignment.
Agile Execution & Backlog Management
Strategic Backlog Ownership: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog using frameworks like RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidence, and Estimation) and functional gap analysis.
Story Crafting: Translate high-level business requirements into detailed, INVEST-compliant user stories and epics.
