Job Description: Role Overview The Logistics Technician is responsible for planning, coordinating, and analyzing the logistical resources required to ensure the efficient flow of assigned products throughout the supply chain. This role plays a critical part in developing and maintaining the master logistics schedule, including transportation planning, routing, carrier selection, and cost optimization. The Logistics Technician focuses on monitoring transportation performance, identifying delivery issues, and implementing practical solutions to improve service levels and overall supply chain efficiency. By collaborating closely with internal teams and external carriers, this role ensures timely, cost-effective, and reliable product movement while continuously driving process improvements across logistics operations. Key Responsibilities You will negotiate shipping rates and select forwarders based on price, quality, and delivery schedule. You will manage just-in-time logistics of materials from vendors or factory to contract manufacturers, warehouses, laboratories and or sites. You will be responsible to set up and oversee import customs clearance with our customs broker. You will also handle exports of spares parts to other countries in the Americas. You will be responsible to oversee and manage dangerous goods process, shipping compliance with forwarders. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Program Management teams, buyers and commodity managers. You will oversee A-Z logistics process of shipments assigned to you, including monitoring costs. Required Qualifications & Experience You have a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience or equivalent 5 year subject matter experience in logistics. You have experience in the field of dangerous goods handling and shipping. You have experience and working knowledge in US Imports process. You are self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests, as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying quality solutions.
