About the role We are seeking a high-motivated Buyer to support critical procurement activities across key programs. You will manage suppliers, execute purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery of critical materials and services required to support engineering and manufacturing. What you'll do Own purchase order execution for production and prototype materials, tools, and equipment Track order status and proactively resolve delivery, quality, and pricing issues Partner with engineering and manufacturing to identify best-fit suppliers and sourcing strategies Support cost reduction and supply chain optimization initiatives Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with commercial terms and agreement Analyze supplier and procurement data to identify risks and opportunities Own and manage production work orders and downstream issue resolution with receiving, finance, and accounting Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field 2+ years of supply chain experience, including technical procurement Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work cross-functionally and prioritize in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field US Salary Range $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra’s overall compensation package.
