Lead Value Engineer

Position Overview We are looking for a SingleStore Lead Value Engineer who is passionate about customers’ goals, initiatives and objectives; and how to overcome the most difficult data challenges in the industry. In this role you will work directly with our sales teams, and solutions engineers to identify prospective and current customer pain points where SingleStore can remove those bottlenecks and deliver real-time capabilities. You will provide value-based demonstrations, presentations, and support proof of concepts to validate proposed solutions. As a SingleStore value engineer, you must share our passion for real-time data, fast analytics, and simplified data architecture. You must be comfortable in both high executive conversations as well as being able to deeply understand the technology and its value-proposition. What You'll do Engage with both current and prospective clients to understand their technical and business challenges Present and demonstrate SingleStore product offering to fortune 50 companies. Enthusiastic about the data analytics and data engineering landscape Provide valuable feedback to product teams based on client interactions Stay up to date with database technologies and the SingleStore product offerings Create and validate TCO calculations and ROI models to show positive business outcomes Your Experience Masters in related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc), or 7+ years experience in a technical pre-sales role; Alternatively an advanced degree (e.g.: MBA), or 7+ years experience in value engineering or management consulting roles Ability to communicate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences Experience negotiating complex deals from a value-based selling perspective Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to C-Suite Broad range of experience within large-scale distributed database and/or data warehousing technologies Demonstrated proficiency in ANSI SQL query languages and in analytics tools like Excel and Python used by FPA teams Understanding of private and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware and hybrid architectures About Us SingleStore delivers the cloud-native database with the speed and scale to power the world’s data-intensive applications.
