BlackRock is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the Hedge Fund Investor Relations (HF IR) team based in New York or London. The team supports capital formation, investor engagement, and platform initiatives across BlackRock’s hedge fund strategies within the Portfolio Management Group (PMG). This role will initially focus on internal coordination and execution across fundraising initiatives, investor servicing, and cross-functional platform activities. The position plays a key role in ensuring the seamless preparation and delivery of investor communications and capital-raising processes. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior HF IR professionals, the hedge fund strategy function, portfolio managers, and key internal stakeholders across the Client Businesses, Global Product Solutions (GPS), Technology & Operations, and Legal & Compliance. The team engages with a diverse allocator base across both institutional and wealth channels, including pensions, endowments, sovereign institutions, family offices, private banks, and wealth management platforms. Over time—typically within 12–24 months, depending on performance and business needs—the role will evolve to include direct allocator engagement, participation in roadshows and investor meetings, and increasing client coverage responsibilities. This position could be located in either New York or London and offers an opportunity to gain broad exposure to the hedge fund ecosystem while developing toward a client-facing investor relations role. Key Responsibilities Internal Coordination & Capital Formation Support Serve as a central coordination point across internal teams supporting fundraising initiatives, investor onboarding, and ongoing investor servicing. Manage the development, review, and customization of investor materials, including marketing presentations, fact sheets, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and strategy updates. Maintain and optimize MSD CRM data, ensuring accurate tracking of investor pipelines, engagement activity, allocations, and feedback. Support management information (MI) reporting and analytics, including pipeline tracking, capital raising progress, regional activity updates, and investor engagement reporting for senior stakeholders. Coordinate internal workflows for capital formation initiatives, including data requests, document management, and cross-functional alignment on deliverables and timelines. Conduct research and analysis on allocator trends, competitor positioning, strategy performance, and broader hedge fund industry developments to support investor messaging. Support the planning and coordination of regional investor engagement activity, including meeting scheduling, investor targeting, and alignment with client coverage teams.
