About the Team Workday is seeking a technically astute, highly collaborative Product Manager to join our Platform Enablement team - where we provide the core services, UI patterns, and developer tooling that make Workday easier to build on, safer to evolve, and more operable by both humans and machines. In this role, you will oversee a range of mission-critical infrastructure products that serve as the "paved road" for Workday developers, end-users, and autonomous agents alike.You will manage the lifecycle of foundational services, balancing the need to decommission legacy systems with the drive to build modern, API-rich architectures. This role demands a PM who can navigate deep technical complexity while translating technical wins into clear strategic value for executive stakeholders and high-profile partners. About the Role As a Product Manager on Platform Enablement, you will: Partner closely with senior engineering leads and architects to define the roadmap for core infrastructure, including the modernization of document transformation engines and UI orchestration layers. Lead the transition from legacy background utilities to a decoupled, microservices-based ecosystem. You will own the strategy for moving high-stakes workloads to modern, secure, and performant services. Act as the primary interface for high-priority external partners and internal application teams. You will negotiate requirements for high-capacity system demands (e.g., massive-scale exports) while protecting system stability and performance. Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) focused on Availability, Throughput, and Saturation. Drive initiatives to enhance system telemetry and automated testing frameworks to catch regressions before they reach production. Advocate for and define machine-readable interfaces and deterministic APIs that allow our platform to be consumed efficiently by both humans and new technology paradigms. Proactively leverage data to understand product usage, identify signs of system misuse, and validate the business impact of infrastructure investments to inform strategic decisions. About You Basic Qualifications: 4 years of experience in product management, engineering, or an equivalent, with experience building and maintaining complex backend solutions or infrastructure platforms. 4 years of experience collaborating deeply with engineering teams to deliver high-scale, market-leading functionality. Other Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to understand complex backend architectures, APIs, and the nuances of distributed systems.
