Information Security Analyst

INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST We are looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security team. This role is the operational backbone of our security services, focused on delivering high-quality technical support and keeping SpaceX’s security infrastructure running smoothly. You will primarily manage the security ticket queue, troubleshoot issues for employees and systems, and handle day-to-day operational tasks that support our security tools and services. You will be encouraged to automate repetitive tasks, improve processes, and gradually take on more complex security engineering work. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and triage the Information Security ticket queue, providing timely and effective technical support to SpaceX employees and stakeholders. Perform operational tasks required to keep security platforms and services reliable and available. Collaborate with Security Engineers to investigate issues, implement improvements, and contribute to larger security projects. Support and maintain security services and tools, including hardware security keys (YubiKeys), SSH infrastructure, certificate management, and access control systems. Develop scripts and lightweight automation to streamline common technical support and operational processes. Document procedures, run books, and troubleshooting guides to improve team efficiency. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in cyber security, computer science, engineering, information technology, or other STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in information security or cyber security in lieu of a degree. Experience with troubleshooting operating system internals for Linux, Windows, or macOS platforms. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Ability to manage a ticket queue and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced technical environment. Experience with information security principles including authentication, access control, encryption, etc. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users. Hands-on experience with YubiKeys, SSH, public key infrastructure, and basic security concepts. Experience with scripting language(s) for automating repetitive support tasks and building internal tools. Experience with security tools commonly used in enterprise environments. Experience with Windows binaries and common malware signatures/patterns. Experience in systems/software vulnerability analysis. Problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement. Ability to thrive in a high-growth, dynamic fast-paced environment. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed. This role requires you to be onsite in Redmond, WA; remote or hybrid work will not be considered. Travel may be required; occasionally visit other SpaceX locations (up to 10%). COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: Information Security Analyst/Level I: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year Information Security Analyst/Level 2: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00/per year Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
