The Role We are looking for a seasoned Manager to lead the Enterprise Data Science & Engineering (DSE) team based in Warsaw. This team is at the heart of how Netflix operates internally, focusing on two critical frontiers: Enterprise Productivity and Data Health . As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for defining how we measure the impact of AI on enterprise productivity and ensuring the integrity of our massive data warehouse. You will partner with cross-functional leaders in Engineering, Finance, and Product to build data products that guide our most important enterprise investments. What You Will Do Lead and Inspire: Manage a highly-skilled team of Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers in Warsaw, fostering a culture of excellence, autonomy, and "Dream Team" collaboration. Measure Productivity in the AI Era: Develop frameworks to quantify the impact of AI tools on engineering and enterprise-wide productivity. You will help answer: How is AI changing the way we work, and where should we invest next? Scale Data Health: Tackle the immense challenge of measuring and maintaining the health of millions of tables within our data warehouse. You will build the observability and quality standards that ensure Netflix's data remains a source of truth. Strategic Partnership: Act as a thought leader for internal stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights that drive enterprise strategy. Informed Captaincy: Own the roadmap for enterprise data products, making high-stakes decisions on architecture, tooling, and methodology based on clear context and data. What We Are Looking For Proven Leadership: Experience managing senior-level data engineers or scientists delivering high-impact work under evolving priorities. Data Expertise: A strong background in data engineering, and analytics. You are comfortable discussing distributed systems, data modeling, and large-scale warehouse architecture. Product Mindset: You don't just build pipelines; you build data products . You understand how to identify internal "customers" and deliver solutions that solve their pain points. Navigating Ambiguity: Experience tackling "hard-to-measure" problems—like productivity or technical debt—using creative data-driven approaches.
