Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Architect to lead architecture for a large-scale healthcare data platform. This is not a pure design role. You will own business outcomes, ensuring architecture directly drives revenue, scalability, reliability, and risk posture, while acting as the highest technical authority across the platform.
What You Will Own
Own end-to-end architecture across services, data, integrations, and cloud
Drive architecture decisions tied to business impact (revenue, cost, risk)
Define and evolve the target architecture roadmap
Lead security architecture and ensure data protection and compliance (HIPAA)
Embed secure-by-design principles and manage platform risk posture
Architect scalable healthcare data workflows (ingestion → validation → transformation → submission)
Own EDI-based integrations (837, 835, 999, 277CA) and external system connectivity
Ensure data integrity, auditability, and high-volume processing at scale
Drive system-wide decisions across scalability, performance, and reliability
Define observability, SLAs/SLOs, and operational excellence standards
Own architectural outcomes for production stability
Act as the top technical leader across teams
Establish architecture governance, reviews, and engineering standards
Mentor engineers and elevate system-level thinking
What You Bring
15 years in engineering with deep architecture leadership experience
Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, microservices, distributed systems
Proven experience with enterprise-scale, high-availability platforms (AWS)
Strong understanding of data systems, integrations, and SaaS architectures
Ability to balance speed, scale, and long-term sustainability
