Senior Developer

We are looking for a senior developer with hands-on experience in backend or frontend development, with a strong track record in designing, building, and maintaining scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in Java or Scala, automated test frameworks, REST APIs, Microservices, and modern front-end frameworks like Angular or React. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables, while also engaging with internal and external stakeholders to provide product training. A key part of the role involves mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering the growth of the team’s technical capabilities. Pagero has recently joined Thomson Reuters. About the role In this opportunity as a Senior Fullstack Developer, you will: Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java and modern front-end frameworks. Develop RESTful APIs and microservices. Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers. Implement automated tests as part of delivery. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or S3. Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure coding standards are followed. Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance. Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform). Ensure application security and data protection. About you 5 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE or Scala development. Proficiency with Angular or ReactJS for front-end development. Solid understanding of RESTful API design and Microservices architecture. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools. Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with message queues like RabbitMQ.
