Known for driving innovation and operational excellence, Regent partners with management teams to unlock long-term value.</p> <p>As part of its expansion in Europe, Regent is seeking a <strong>Director,</strong> <strong>Portfolio Transformation </strong>to support the strategic and operational turnaround of its automotive platform in Germany.</p> <p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a <strong>Director,</strong> <strong>Portfolio Transformation </strong>to spearhead restructuring and performance improvement initiatives across Regent's automotive investments in Germany. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in operational and financial restructuring, ideally from a top-tier consulting or advisory firm, coupled with deep experience in the automotive or industrial sectors.</p> <p>This role reports to the Managing Director (Europe) and will work closely with local management teams and Regent’s global leadership.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Lead Transformation Initiatives</strong>: Design and execute comprehensive business transformation and turnaround strategies to drive profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.</li> <li><strong>Operational Assessment</strong>: Conduct deep-dive diagnostics into plant operations, supply chain, sales, and SGA functions to identify opportunities for improvement.</li> <li><strong>Financial Restructuring</strong>: Analyze balance sheet structures, cash flow, and working capital to identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.</li> <li><strong>Stakeholder Management</strong>: Act as a bridge between Regent's leadership and portfolio company management, ensuring strategic alignment and execution.</li> <li><strong>Project Leadership</strong>: Drive cross-functional projects with clear KPIs, timelines, and reporting mechanisms. Ensure delivery of cost, performance, and cultural transformation targets.</li> <li><strong>MA Integration Support</strong>: Provide operational and financial diligence on bolt-on acquisitions; support post-merger integration efforts.</li> <li><strong>Change Management</strong>: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the portfolio companies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Ideal Candidate Profile:</strong></p> <p><strong>Education Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>8–15 years of experience, with a strong background in business transformation, operational restructuring, or performance improvement.</li> <li>Previous experience at a top-tier restructuring consulting firm (e.g., AlixPartners, Alvarez Marsal, Roland Berger Restructuring, PwC Deals/Restructuring).</li> <li>Strong finance background, ideally with experience in FPA, investment banking, or private equity.</li> <li>Prior exposure to the automotive sector is strongly preferred; understanding of German Mittelstand dynamics is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).</li> <li>Proven ability to drive change in complex operational environments.</li> <li>Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.</li> <li>Executive-level communication and stakeholder management.</li> <li>Comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.</li> </ul>
