ABOUT THE TEAM The Regulatory Reporting team at Airwallex owns one of the most consequential data functions in the company: ensuring that Airwallex's financial activities are accurately, completely, and timely reported to financial regulators and central banks in every jurisdiction where we hold a licence. As Airwallex's licensed operations span markets across Asia Pacific, Europe, the United States, and beyond, each new jurisdiction brings its own regulatory framework, reporting cadence, and data requirements. The obligation does not stand still — requirements evolve, transaction volumes grow, and the bar for accuracy and timeliness rises continuously. Our team builds and continuously improves the data infrastructure and automation platform that keeps pace with this: ensuring that as Airwallex scales, our reporting capability scales with it rather than becoming a bottleneck. This is not a conventional compliance function. We are platform engineers and data professionals who own the full lifecycle of regulatory reporting — from interpreting regulatory requirements and building the data pipelines that produce filings, through to submission, tracking, and maintaining the audit trail that stands up to scrutiny from both regulators and internal stakeholders. We partner closely with Regulatory Compliance, Legal, Finance Operations, and Product teams, using modern data tooling, cloud infrastructure, and increasingly AI-driven automation to make this lifecycle reliable, traceable, and efficient at scale. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an Engineering Leader to own the technical strategy and execution of our global regulatory reporting automation platform. You will lead a team of engineers and be responsible for the full lifecycle of regulatory reporting as a platform capability — from data extraction, transformation, and form generation through to submission, resubmission, change management, and the audit infrastructure that ensures every filing is traceable, reproducible, and defensible.
