Job Description
The Events Researcher is responsible for organising Asian Legal Business (ALB) events, such as its series of award programmes and events across Asia. The incumbent is primarily responsible for managing the nomination and judging process for the awards and the promotion of the award processes, mainly via online marketing, eDM, social media marketing, telephone, and more. This role may also consist of all aspects of work within the Awards business segment and requires a meticulous attitude toward tasks and a positive personality toward customers and other stakeholders.
About the role:
Manages the research for law awards, including the preparation of nomination forms, award methodology, and judging packs
Conducts research to identify opportunities and target markets for local and regional events in Asia, maximizes the product reach, and brings in potential participants
Identifies, invites, and secures the award finalists, judges, and prestigious guests, working closely as part of the team to coordinate the regional efforts
Manages database growth and proactive communications with the target audience, such as outreach calls to leading companies and C-level legal practitioners to promote the awards programme and drive high-quality submissions
Manages event marketing via e-mail campaigns, websites, social media, and other platforms.
Manages the event as a business product, understanding commercial performance and supporting the sustainable growth of the product
Leverages social media and digital solutions to enhance the research process, marketing, and continuous improvement of the awards programme and event experience
Coordinates the production of events from conception to completion
Assists with the on-site logistical management of events
Conducts pre and post-event evaluation, including data, analysis, and reports
Works closely with the team and other functions such as sales, circulation, and editorial in order to carry out the awards process smoothly and successfully.
About You
Degree or above, strong spoken and written English skills
Minimum 8 years of experience in awards organization, event research, marketing, or project management; work experience in regional events/projects is preferred.
Strong research, analytical, and organizational capability
Able to work independently, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
Ability to engage with stakeholders and customers in a positive and interactive manner, creating strong customer experience
Ability to develop and execute effective campaigns and strategic plans.
Knowledge in the legal or financial industry is beneficial but not essential
