The Social team is leading this transformation by blending authentic community content such as reviews, videos, and recommendations with AI to understand what people love, personalize discovery, and create trusted connections between customers, creators, and local experts.</p>
<h1><strong>About the Role</strong></h1>
<p>You will lead a talented team of full-stack engineers who are shaping the next generation of social discovery experiences. This includes integrating intelligent content ranking, personalized feeds, video-driven discovery, and sharing features across the DoorDash app. You will work closely with partners in Product, Design, and Machine Learning to bring these ideas to life through scalable and reliable engineering systems. You will play a hands-on leadership role, guiding both the technology and the team that make social discovery at DoorDash possible.</p>

<li>Partner with product, design, and ML teams to build features that make DoorDash more social, visual, and intelligent.</li>

<li>Define a long-term technical roadmap that balances innovation with reliability, performance, and user trust.</li>

<h1><strong>We’re excited about you because…</strong></h1>
<ul>
<li>7 or more years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of technical leadership or people management.</li>
<li>Experience leading full-stack teams and building products across backend and client platforms (Web, iOS, Android).</li>
<li>A strong product mindset and the ability to connect technical strategy to user value and business impact.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical partners.</li>
<li>A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.</li>
