TPMs on our Engineering teams provide fundamental support to the underlying technology services as well as the engineers building these services. It’s no simple task, but it wouldn’t be interesting if it was! This role sits in the <strong>Launchpad</strong> team, which is the innovation engine of DoorDash. The team's mission is to innovate, experiment, and incubate bold ideas that transform the future of local commerce. </p> <h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2> <p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Technical Program Manager</strong> to drive the operational backbone of our fastest-growing hardware-software business. In this role, you will join an exciting new confidential initiative that has found momentum with an emerging hardware product.</p> <p>You will act as the "Execution Engine" for the engineering organization, partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering Directors to deliver a market-leading platform. Given this initiative is still in its early stages, speed, craft, and execution quality are high priority. You must be located in either the Bay Area, Seattle, or the New York Metro Area for this hybrid position. </p> <h2><strong>You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Drive Resilient, "Always-On" Architecture: </strong>You will lead the technical roadmap to ensure our platform performs flawlessly in dynamic physical environments. You will coordinate dependencies between Infrastructure and Feature teams to guarantee uninterrupted operations when merchants need them most.</li> <li><strong>Bridge Product Vision Technical Execution: </strong>You will partner early with Product Managers and Designers to translate ambitious user requirements into executable technical specifications. You will ensure that technical decisions prioritize shipping a delightful, high-quality merchant experience.</li> <li><strong>Demonstrate Technical Depth</strong> - You will develop a full understanding of our technical stack and interdependencies, allowing you to contribute to designs and ensure they are scalable, reliable, and efficient.</li> <li><strong>Nurture Stakeholders</strong> - You will manage all stakeholder expectations from leadership to individual teams, possess strong problem solving and negotiation skills, and earn the trust of partners and teams.</li> <li><strong>Navigate a Complex Organization</strong> - You understand engineers and enjoy working with them. You will build trust by developing strong technical domain knowledge that adds value beyond project management.</li> <li><strong>Manage Process Timelines</strong> - You will manage timely and succinct communications to leadership and across teams to ensure accountability.
