This role ensures database platforms are secure, highly available, scalable, and performance-optimized, supporting mission-critical business applications. The position plays a key role in High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), database security, and production support. This position is based in KAEC and is an on-site role.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of SQL Server databases.</li> <li>Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and overall health.</li> <li>Manage database permissions, roles, schemas, and access controls.</li> <li>Grant, modify, and revoke user access in line with security and compliance requirements.</li> <li>Implement and manage database security, auditing, and best practices.</li> <li>Perform database backup, restore, disaster recovery, and failover testing.</li> <li>Prepare, configure, and support Always On Availability Groups (AG).</li> <li>Plan, implement, and maintain High Availability (HA) clusters, including Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) and SQL Failover Cluster Instances.</li> <li>Perform regular database maintenance, patching, and version upgrades.</li> <li>Troubleshoot complex databases, performance, AG, HA cluster, and failover issues.</li> <li>Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring incidents.</li> <li>Support application and development teams with query optimization and database design.</li> <li>Automate routine DBA tasks using T-SQL.</li> <li>Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.</li> <li>Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.</li> <li>8+ years hands-on DBA experience.</li> <li>Strong expertise in SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.</li> <li>Always On AG and HA cluster (WSFC) experience</li> <li>Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Azure SQL, including administration, backup, and performance monitoring.</li> <li>Software development experience, with strong SQL scripting and database-related development knowledge.</li> <li>Strong expertise in database permissions and security management.</li> <li>Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.</li> <li>Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and respond effectively to technical issues in production environments.</li> <li>Good communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusio ...
