As a member of the growing Fulfillment and Pharmacy Engineering Backend team, you will help define, build, test, deploy, and support the platform that delivers self-service capabilities to our partners in the Operations and Pharmacy teams.You Will: Design and build backend services within our service-oriented architectureCollaborate with other backend platform engineers, UI engineers, technical product managers, and operations / pharmacy end usersDrive feature delivery from technical design to production deploymentFacilitate the breaking down and estimation of work.Implement observability, monitoring and alerting solutionsHelp refine solution definitions with product managers and colleaguesProvide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, sharing your expertise and ensuring team growth.Facilitate and participate in technical design reviewsConduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to team standards and to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.Contribute to operational excellence through on-call responsibilities which include issue resolution, root-cause analysis and code improvements to reduce toilActively participate in retrospectives and help drive continuous improvement in our process and culture.You Have: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience5+ years experience as a software engineer including languages such as Java and Kotlin3+ years of experience with back end distributed system design, development and delivery, preferably in an eCommerce environment3+ years of experience with microservice architecturesExperience with design, development, delivery and management of microservices hosted on Kubernetes and AWSExperience with agile software development and delivery methodologiesExperience with service instrumentation, observability, and monitoring conceptsProficiency with continuous integration/delivery including automated unit and integration test strategiesProficiency with Relational Databases, PostgreSQL preferredStrong understanding of GIT or similar version control systemsStrong team player, with demonstrable cross team collaboration experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNice to Have:Experience with Datadog, Spring Boot, Postgresql, Kubernetes, DockerOur Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time rolesUnlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health daysComprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leaveEmployee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)401k benefits with employer matching contributionOffsite team retreatsWe are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging.
