This role is ideal for a designer who is scrappy, fast-moving, deeply thoughtful about developers, and unwilling to compromise on craft.You’ll work across multiple small-to-medium initiatives at once, shipping improvements frequently, learning from real usage, and raising the bar for product experience as LiveKit scales.What You’ll Do:Design and ship product-led growth initiatives focused on activation, conversion, and retentionOwn and evolve onboarding and early product experiences within the LiveKit Cloud dashboard, core product, and additional surfaces.Identify where developers stall, get confused, or drop off — and turn insights into clear, shippable improvements.Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Docs to move from insight → experiment → shipped iteration.Design across product and developer-facing surfaces, including:Cloud dashboard and onboarding flowsIn-product education, setup flows, and empty statesDocumentation, tutorials, and developer onboarding contentSDK entry points, examples, templates, and GitHub READMEsBalance speed and quality — moving quickly without sacrificing usability or craftContribute to and evolve LiveKit’s design system to support scalable, repeatable growth workCollaborate with other designers to keep the overall product experience cohesive and high qualityWhile you may occasionally collaborate with Marketing or Web on entry-point alignment, this is a product-focused roleWho You Are:5+ years of experience designing products, ideally for developers or technical audiencesStrong UX, interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio showing polished, real-world shipped workDeep empathy for how developers learn, explore, debug, and adopt toolsComfortable moving fast, iterating, and juggling multiple initiativesAble to zoom out to understand systems, funnels, and flows, while still sweating interaction detailsA clear communicator who can explain design decisions, tradeoffs, and rationale to cross-functional partnersHighly proficient with Figma and modern design workflowsNice-to-haves:Experience designing onboarding, activation, or growth-oriented product surfacesFamiliarity with developer tooling, APIs, or OSS ecosystemsComfort reading or writing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or working closely with React / TailwindExperience collaborating with docs, developer education, or DevRel teamsOur Commitment to You:We care de ...
