Job Description
About Liquid AISpun out of MIT CSAIL, we build general-purpose AI systems that run efficiently across deployment targets, from data center accelerators to on-device hardware, ensuring low latency, minimal memory usage, privacy, and reliability. We partner with enterprises across consumer electronics, automotive, life sciences, and financial services. We are scaling rapidly and need exceptional people to help us get there. The OpportunityThis is a rare chance to sit at the intersection of frontier foundation models and the open-source ecosystem. You'll own developer relations and community engagement end-to-end, shaping how LFMs are adopted, documented, and integrated across the AI landscape. Unlike most roles that force a trade-off between community impact and core technical work, this role gives you both: deep ownership over how our models are presented, documented, and adopted by the community, and a direct line into how Liquid communicates with developers worldwide. If you care about great documentation, developer experience, and making models accessible to the broader community, this is a chance to shape how open-source AI is done at a foundation model company. What We're Looking ForWe need someone who:Takes ownership: Owns open-source partnerships from initial outreach through ongoing collaboration.Thinks community-first: Can reason across documentation, tutorials, integrations, and support as a unified developer experience. Is pragmatic: Optimizes for developer adoption and partner success over vanity metrics.Communicates clearly: Can translate between technical teams and external partners, and represent Liquid's interests while building genuine relationships. The WorkAct as the primary point of contact for open-source partnersSupport model releases with marketing and technical contentProduce tutorials, articles, and guides on training and using LFMsMaintain and improve LFM documentation to ensure clarity and completenessGather community feedback and relay it to internal teamsDesired ExperienceMust-have:Familiarity with the open-source AI ecosystem and its key playersHands-on experience with LLM training, fine-tuning, or deploymentTrack record of building and maintaining external partnerships or community relationshipsNice-to-have:Prior work in developer relations, developer advocacy, or technical marketingExperience contributing to or maintaining open-source ML projectsFamiliarity with inference frameworks or training toolsWhat Success Looks Like (Year One)Has established and maintained strong relationships with key open-source partnersLFM documentation is comprehensive, well-organized, and praised by the developer communityHas produced a portfolio of tutorials and technical content that drives adoptionIs recognized in the community as a helpful, knowledgeable representative of Liquid AIWhat We OfferShape the narrative: You'll define how the developer community experiences Liquid AI, from first contact to deep integration.Compensation: Competitive base salary with equity in a unicorn-stage companyHealth: We pay 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees and dependentsFinancial: 401(k) matching up to 4% of base payTime Off: Unlimited PTO plus company-wide Refill Days throughout the year
