Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>SUPERVISOR, QUALITY ASSURANCE (VALVES)</strong></p> <p>The Valves’ Quality Assurance team is looking for a Supervisor, Quality Assurance to lead a team of inspectors and CMM programmers. This role will involve the management of quality assurance inspectors in various areas of the department and across programs including Falcon, Dragon, and Starship.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead a staff of inspectors, programmers, and a specialist by scheduling and providing direction to ensure all partner teams are supported</li> <li>Read, interpret, and work from drawings and controlled documentation/processes</li> <li>Supervise completion of quality assurance activities using SpaceX processes and systems in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment</li> <li>Implement training and certifications, as needed, to maintain a highly skilled, flexible, and capable workforce</li> <li>Oversee the critical characteristic control within the production process including the establishment of necessary equipment/layout requirements</li> <li>Maintain tooling and consumable supply inventory</li> <li>Monitor labor hours over time, and implement improvement plans and time management with staff</li> <li>Work with production leaders to identify improvements, drive efficiencies, and develop interdepartmental relationships</li> <li>Work with the engineering teams to prioritize and align on improvement projects</li> <li>Identify/organize training programs and maintain training matrix to ensure cross-training maximizes resource availability</li> <li>Mentor direct reports by performing frequent one-on-one counseling, providing constructive feedback, and handling disciplinary actions as necessary</li> <li>Assess and vet the appropriate skillset needed to perform job requirements</li> <li>Support recruiting efforts by performing phone interviews and on-site evaluations of inspector candidates</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or testing environment</li> <li>1+ years of experience leading a team or project</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience communicating across all levels of the organization, team-building, and driving influence</li> <li>Experience with applying lean manufacturing principles and efficiency methods</li> <li>Expertise with computers and analytics including proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, shop floor management software (ERP/MRP), SQL, and related technical programs</li> <li>2+ years of experience in management/supervision</li> <li>Experience reading/interpret schematics</li> <li>Practical experience with Quality Management Systems standards (AS9100 and ISO 9001) and Lean Manufacturing</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed</li> <li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. unassisted</li> <li>Must be able to travel – up to 10%</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: </strong></p> <p>Pay range: </p> <p>Supervisor, Quality Assurance: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year </p> <p>Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.</p> <p>Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
