Care to join us?</p></div><p><strong>The Team:</strong></p> <p>Celonis’ Corporate Development team partners with leadership to identify and execute acquisitions and strategic investments to support our corporate and product strategy. </p> <p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <p>The Corporate Development Director will lead the sourcing, evaluation, execution and integration of mergers and acquisitions (MA) and strategic investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the enterprise software landscape, experience leading complex transactions, and a proven track record of creating value through inorganic growth initiatives. </p> <p>As our new Director of Corporate Development, you play a critical role in shaping and executing Celonis’ future growth strategy.</p> <p><strong>The work you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with business unit leaders on strategy development, including identifying product gaps, evaluating build/buy/partner options</li> <li>Oversee all aspects of the MA process, from sourcing, initial screening and due diligence to negotiation, closing, and integration.</li> <li>Source and screen targets per our identified target MA themes and priorities </li> <li>Conduct deep due diligence on target, its market, management and customers in partnership with product and other cross-functional teams </li> <li>Structure and negotiate deal terms, including valuation, financing, and legal agreements.</li> <li>Prepare strategic deal memos and presentations to drive decision-making with executive management team and board of directors</li> <li>Manage the transaction process efficiently and effectively, coordinating and managing internal cross-functional due diligence team as well as target stakeholders and advisors</li> <li>Develop and implement integration plans to ensure the successful assimilation of acquired companies.</li> <li>Oversee and steer cross-functional teams to achieve synergy targets and realize the full value of acquisitions</li> <li>Contribute to improving the corporate development team by enhancing existing processes and recruiting and developing new team members.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The qualifications you need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or a related field in or with exposure to enterprise software </li> <li>Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar discipline.</li> <li>MBA, CPA or CFA is desirable. </li> <li>Proven track record of leading and executing MA transactions and strategic investments</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to craft investment memos and presentations and present to executive management</li> <li>Strong financial modeling and valuation skills </li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in building decision frameworks/models</li> <li>Ability to manage complex projects and work cross-functionality under pressure, while maintaining high attention to detail.</li> </ul> <p>Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"For positions in New York City only: We offer a base salary range of xxx – xxx, based on a Full Time Schedule. \n\nTotal compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off).
