Manager I, Engineering - Container Autoscaling

<p>The Container Autoscaling team is part of the Container Monitoring product within the Infrastructure Observability group at Datadog. We’re responsible for building and evolving Datadog’s Kubernetes Autoscaling product—a solution that enables companies to automatically adjust Kubernetes resources to optimize performance, improve efficiency, and reduce infrastructure costs.</p> <p><em>At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships that it builds, the creativity it brings to the table, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.</em></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage and mentor a team of engineers, driving their professional growth</li> <li>Collaborate with Product to shape strategic roadmap and have a significant impact on the product and the user experience of fellow engineers who use the product</li> <li>Engage strategically with complex technical problems and work with your team to produce well-defined and actionable plans</li> <li>Be a core contributor and reviewer of code, lead design decisions, and participate in our on-call rotation<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are: </strong></p> <ul> <li>A proven leader with the ability to manage team dynamics, set goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive and productive work environment</li> <li>You have experience building distributed systems and operating infrastructure with a focus on reliability and fault tolerance</li> <li>You possess a product-mindset and have comfort working with product managers and customers to scope out roadmaps and development plans. Experience doing this with new products is great to have </li> <li>Experienced in a full stack environment with Go TypeScript. Kubernetes and infrastructure auto-scaling experience is preferred</li> <li>You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience</li> </ul> <p><em>Datadog values people from all walks of life.
