It oversees core growth strategies from top of funnel, to onboarding, to helping Retailers get up and running to be successful on Faire. We are looking to hire a dynamic manager to be part of our Growth business unit to focus on delivering growth features to our customers. </p> <p>We care about good engineering practice and love to write software that is secure, tested, easy to maintain, and can scale to millions of users. We build minimum viable products, deploy to production multiple times per day, A/B test customer-facing changes, listen to the data, and iterate. </p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Directly manage a large cross functional team of engineers developing our growth product solutions. </li> <li>Lead scoping and sprint planning within your teams </li> <li>Understand, triage and assign defects to be solved along with feature work</li> <li>Identify and scope infrastructure or tooling changes to impact efficiency and/or quality</li> <li>Dive into the architecture, designs and code in order to lead your team effectively</li> <li>Lead contributor and owner of process and team structure decisions</li> <li>Directly impact our ability to grow quickly while improving operational efficiencies</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A passion for programming and solving problems with code</li> <li>A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience</li> <li>A strong technical background and you are still capable of using it every day</li> <li>A love for technology, and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to tackle real problems</li> <li>A track record of leading teams to higher levels of contribution. </li> <li>A track record of assisting team members to achieve higher levels of impact in their careers. </li> <li>Capable and willing to write software for a couple months as part of your onboarding</li> <li>Still willing and able to get your hands dirty with software design, code creation, tooling, etc. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus/Nice to haves: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Post Graduate degree in management or business </li> <li>Strength and experience in running engineering teams using metrics</li> <li>Experience working with marketplaces and/or shipping problem space</li> <li>Have lead through other managers</li> </ul> <h4>Salary range:</h4> <p>Canada: the pay range for this role is <span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"$164,000-$225,500"}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":513,"3":{"1":0},"12":0}">$184,000 - $253,000</span> per year. </p> <p>This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
