Attendance is expected and fully supported.</p></div><p>This is a 12-week internship during summer 2026. </p> <p>Coinbase is seeking software engineer interns to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud.</p> <p>You will have the opportunity to specify your top team choice within the <strong>Product Group org</strong> (Base, Developer, Consumer, Institutional, Platform). Please carefully review the team descriptions below and select the group that most aligns with your interests and goals, as your application will be primarily considered for this team.</p> <p><strong>Product Group Teams (internship location = San Francisco): </strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Base</strong> is Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer 2 network, built on the open-source OP Stack in collaboration with Optimism. It’s secure, low-cost, and developer-friendly, designed to scale the crypto economy. As a Base engineer, you’ll create seamless integrations, fiat onramps, and tools that connect developers to 108M+ users and $100B+ in assets.</li> <li><strong>Consumer</strong> is building the easiest and fastest way to access crypto through the Coinbase retail app. With a focus on becoming the #1 self-custody wallet, our products include the Coinbase app, advanced trade, dApps, and staking—paving the way for the future of Onchain.</li> <li><strong>Developer </strong>team empowers builders in crypto with tools like Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS) and Coinbase Cloud.
