Come join us! </span></p> </div></div><p><strong>Available Locations: Austin, TX</strong></p> <p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p> <p>The Senior Revenue Accountant’s primary responsibility is helping to ensure the Company’s revenue recognition to be in compliance with US GAAP and Company policies. It is both advisory and operational in nature. The advisory role helps business partners make informed business decisions while maintaining accounting compliance. The operational role ensures accounting processes comply with policies and function in an effective and efficient manner while working with local partners to complete business transactions with customers.</p> <p><strong>Role Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participates in accounting close activities, including:</li> <ul> <li>partnering with other teams (legal, sales, etc.) to interpret, research, discuss, and / or process deal reviews</li> <li>complete contract accounting of executed customer contracts</li> <li>preparation / review of journal entries</li> <li>preparation / review of reconciliations and related financial analysis for management and external reporting</li> </ul> <li>Participates in Company-wide initiatives and cross-functional projects that directly impact or relate to the revenue accounting area, particularly increasing the revenue analytical capabilities within Cloudflare</li> <li>Develop and streamline processes using system automation and tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy of revenue accounting systems and processes</li> <li>Takes a clean sheet of paper approach when revisiting operational processes and continually works to consolidate and streamline using automation and tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy</li> <li>Stay current on the latest financial accounting and reporting developments and U.S GAAP reporting requirements, as applicable.</li> <li>Effectively interacts with peers and shares knowledge</li> <li>Mentors and supports junior members of the team and provides feedback</li> <li>Communicates any problems to senior management timely</li> <li>Present findings and solutions to the management team, while considering global impacts and subsequent guidance to influence other regions where appropriate to adopt a consistent process and policy</li> <li>Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)</li> <li>Prepares schedules in support of the external audit process</li> <li>Coordinates with the auditors on accounting issues and audit related queries</li> <li>Reviews and maintains controls as the business environment changes as a result of process, system and policy enhancements.
