A global platform which is within approximately 50 milliseconds of about 95% of the Internet connected population, serving on average, over 46 million HTTP requests per second.</p> <h3><strong>About the Team</strong></h3> <p>Cloudflare engineering delivers code to production at a tremendous pace, and depends on automated testing to do so without incidents. The Testing at Scale team builds and runs tooling for other engineering teams, to allow them to write tests that verify the interactions between systems and products in production at huge scale.</p> <p><strong><br><br></strong></p> <p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p> <p>We are looking for highly motivated software engineers to join our Testing at Scale Organization. You’ll have a strong programming background with a deep understanding and experience developing and maintaining distributed systems. You’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with engineers across the company to understand the behaviours of our systems and products in order to deliver tooling to meet their testing needs. You will also work closely with product managers to support our public facing synthetic testing and load testing products for enterprise customers.</p> <p><strong>Desirable skills, knowledge and experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven track record as a software engineer or similar role.</li> <li>Programming experience with one of the following languages. Go or Rust. </li> <li>Experience designing, implementing and maintaining secure and highly-available distributed systems</li> <li>Ability to develop, document and execute test and SLO plans, test cases and test scripts to verify systems continue to operate as expected</li> <li>Create and maintain production testing infrastructure and availability reporting </li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to understand how their systems function and interact with other Cloudflare systems</li> <li>Help drive continued improvements in the software development testing processes</li> <li>Be a good communicator, provide clear and concise feedback to engineering and product teams</li> <li>Experience with measuring uptime metrics like correctness, availability latency SLOs/SLIs </li> </ul> <p>Nice to have skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with synthetic traffic load testing tools</li> <li>Experience working with Clickhouse, GraphQL, Postgres</li> <li>Experience workin ...
