<h4>About the Role</h4>
<p>Cloudflare is seeking a highly autonomous and empathetic UX Content Strategy Intern to join our Product Content Experience (PCX) team. This is not a shadowing role—it is a launchpad designed for students ready to own their outcomes and drive a key part of our product experience.<br><br>You will be embedded within a team committed to excellence, partnering directly with design, engineering, and product managers to enhance the conversation between Cloudflare and our customers. Working as a UX content expert, you will lead research projects, enhance products, and drive content-focused improvements to our user-facing experiences. Your initiative and creativity are not just valued—they are rewarded with the trust to lead projects from initial concept through final implementation. This role offers you the unique chance to influence the user journey for millions and learn the mechanics of enterprise-level UX design and content strategy.</p>
<h4>Responsibilities</h4>
<ul>
<li><strong>User Conversation Improvement:</strong> Work directly in our products to improve the clarity, consistency, and effectiveness of in-product copy, interface labels, error messages, and navigation.</li>
<li><strong>Research Enhancement:</strong> Partner with senior strategists to design and lead content research projects to identify user pain points and inform product enhancements.</li>
<li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong> Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure user-facing experiences are intuitive and accurate.</li>
<li><strong>Strategic Alignment:</strong> Work with content strategy leads to ensure all in-product language aligns with the overall product voice and content style guides.</li>
<li><strong>Project Autonomy:</strong> Manage multiple simultaneous content projects, maintaining high quality and timely delivery while working independently.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Requirements</h4>
<ul>
<li>Currently pursuing a degree in UX, Technical Communication, Journalism, English, Design, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field with a strong writing emphasis or technical communication.</li>
<li>A writing or design sample portfolio demonstrating experience in clear, user-focused content creation (course work is acceptable).</li>
<li>Ability to commit to a minimum 12 week summer internship.</li>
<li>In office 3-5 days a week in Austin, TX.</li>
<li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex topics into simple, usable language.</li>
