Our mission is to empower product engineers with the services, tooling, and guidance they need to build and scale systems that are reliable, performant, and secure.</p> <p>The <strong>Core Infrastructure Security</strong> organization is responsible for the foundational security infrastructure that underpins Klaviyo’s platform. We build and operate core security services, automation, and tooling that enable product teams to deliver features at scale—securely and predictably. Our domains include vulnerability management, production network defenses, identity and access management (IAM) for infrastructure, secrets management, security tooling, and centralized logging.</p> <p>As a <strong>Senior Engineering Manager</strong> of the Core Infrastructure Security team, you will lead multiple teams and drive the overall strategy and execution for Klaviyo’s platform security. You’ll partner closely with engineering and security leadership to define and deliver a roadmap that strengthens Klaviyo’s security posture while enabling high developer velocity. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you will set direction, coach and grow leaders, and ensure operational excellence across our security systems.</p> <h3><strong>How You’ll Make a Difference</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Lead and Scale Core Infrastructure Security:</strong> Manage and develop multiple engineering teams (typically 2–3 team leads and 8–12 engineers) focused on secure infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability.</li> <li><strong>Define Strategy and Roadmap:</strong> Establish and drive a cohesive multi-quarter roadmap for platform security—covering identity and access management, secrets management, network and perimeter security, and developer tooling.</li> <li><strong>Shape Platform Security Vision:</strong> Partner with leaders in Product Engineering, Security Trust, and Infrastructure to evolve Klaviyo’s approach to security at scale.</li> <li><strong>Deliver High-Impact Projects:</strong> Oversee major initiatives such as the rollout of an enterprise secrets management solution, next-generation IAM infrastructure, and web application firewall (WAF) enhancements.</li> <li><strong>Develop Leaders and Teams:</strong> Coach engineering managers and senior engineers to strengthen leadership capabilities, technical depth, and execution excellence.</li> <li><strong>Drive Operational Maturity:</strong> Champion improvements in observability, incident response, and automation to reduce operational load and increase system resilience.</li> <li><strong>Foster Cross-Functional Alignment:</strong> Build strong partnerships across engineering, security, compliance, and product organizations to ensure security initiatives align with business priorities.</li> <li><strong>Raise the Bar:</strong> Contribute to organization-wide process impro ...
