Rather than owning delivery or platform execution, this role ensures the website consistently supports user understanding, intent progression, and business impact.</p> <p>You will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that span content, UX, SEO, analytics, and demand—partnering closely with teams across Marketing and Product. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, thinks in systems, and leads through clarity and influence.</p> <h2>What is The Role</h2> <p>The Website Strategy Manager functions as a center of excellence for website strategy at Elastic. You will define how navigation, information architecture, conversion paths, CTAs, and intent capture work together across Elastic.co to support diverse audiences and use cases.</p> <p>This role focuses on why the website works the way it does, for whom, and to what outcome—providing strategic direction that guides execution across teams.</p> <h2>What You Will Be Doing</h2> <h2><strong>Website Strategy Ownership</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Define and own Elastic’s website strategy, with a focus on how structure, journeys, and intent capture operate across the site.</li> <li>Establish and maintain Elastic’s conversion architecture, including how pages, CTAs, offers, and flows align by audience, intent, and stage.</li> <li>Own the global CTA strategy, including standards for primary and secondary CTAs, escalation paths, and consistency across surfaces.</li> <li>Define principles for navigation, information architecture, and taxonomy.</li> <li>Establish standards for tagging, taxonomy, and content classification to support personalization, measurement, and discovery.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Cross-Functional Strategy Leadership</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead cross-functional website initiatives requiring coordination across Content, UX, SEO, Analytics, Demand, and Product Marketing.</li> <li>Translate business goals and user needs into clear strategic frameworks that teams can execute against.</li> <li>Partner closely with UX Research and Design to ensure site structure and journeys are grounded in user understanding and behavior.</li> <li>Influence decisions across teams without direct authority through strong strategic narratives and evidence-based reasoning.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Conversion, Journeys, Outcomes</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Define how the website supports multiple audiences and buying roles, including developers, technical leaders, and business decision-makers.</li> <li>Identify systemic friction in comprehension, positioning, and next-step clarity, and propose structural solutions.</li> <li>Establish website-level success metrics beyond page-level conversion, such as understanding, intent progression, and journey health.</li> <li>Ensure the website balances education, trust-building, and action to support long-term growth.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Partnership with Website Product Management</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Act as a strategic counterpart to Website Produc ...
