You'll have the opportunity to shape our IT strategy and practices from the ground up. The ideal candidate brings startup experience, thrives in ambiguity, loves a good problem, and is excited to build scalable systems that support our global team.What You'll Do:Infrastructure & AutomationBuild and maintain our IT infrastructure and tech stack that scales with LangChain’s rapid growthDrive automation initiatives to reduce toil and improve efficiency using scripts, APIs, and workflow toolsImplement monitoring and documentation practices that enable operational excellenceSecurity & Identity ManagementOwn our identity strategy, implementing secure, scalable access controls following the principle of least privilegeAdminister Mac fleet using Kandji MDM with focus on security, compliance, and user experienceIdentify and implement security enhancements across our SaaS stackPartner with our Security team to drive improvement of our enterprise security postureCore IT OperationsProvide support to employees globally across hardware, software, networking, and IT toolsAdminister and optimize our SaaS stack, managing provisioning, access controls, and lifecycle managementDeliver great onboarding experiences for new hires, ensuring they have the right hardware, access, and setup so they can be productive from day oneHow to be successful in this role4+ years of experience in IT engineering and systems administrationDeep proficiency with Okta and Okta WorkflowsFluency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Python, JavaScript, or similar) with demonstrated ability to write production-quality scripts and automationVersed in the us of REST APIs, webhooks, and API authentication methods; you should be comfortable reading API documentation and building integrations between systemsDemonstrated ability to build meaningful automations that reduce manual work and improve IT operationsExperience with IaC using Terraform to manage and provision IT infrastructure and applicationsStrong experience with a modern tech stack that includes Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Claude, ChatGPTSolid understanding of MDM platformsStrong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, switching, wireless, LAN/WAN)How You WorkOptimize for simplicity - you reduce friction with intuitive, low-complexity solutions instead of over-engineered systemsMove with speed and purpose - you adapt quickly, make timely decisions, and ship high-quality solutions earlier than comfortableEnablement mindset - you empower employees to work independently by providing clear documentation, self-service tools, and proactive supportUser-centric problem solver - you dig deep to understand the root issues, not just surface-level symptomsAllergic to busywork and toil - you foc ...
