QA Engineer

<p><strong><em>This role is hybrid with 3 days in the office weekly (Cracow, Fabryczna)</em><br><br>The Basics</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tanium QA Engineers are responsible for testing products built on the Tanium platform. This will involve working with developers and product managers to construct execute test plans, plan for functional, performance regression testing, file detailed bugs, and providing visibility through project updates.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong technical skills are essential. If you are not comfortable hunting down resource leaks while simulating hundreds of thousands of clients, digging into the guts of </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">windows security configuration or scripting environment configuration for dozens of target OS’s, this may not be the place for you. If these things sound as exciting to you as they do to us, then Tanium could be your new home!<br><br>We are looking for eight QA Engineers who will be distributed across four different teams, each supporting a separate project.<br></span></p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and create unique test plans and test cases based on business requirements</li> <li>Write test automations with Python </li> <li>Create new and enhance existing testing framework components to advance test automation capabilities</li> <li>Oversee resources, project plans, and timelines, and manage test plans, progress, and reports</li> <li>Execute test plans efficiently, opening high quality bug reports as bugs are discovered </li> <li>Utilize project management and leadership skills to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects throughout the entire software development cycle</li> </ul> <p><strong>We’re looking for someone with</strong></p> <ul> <li>Education<br> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or other relevant degree or equivalent experience</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience <ul> <li>3-5 years of Quality Assurance/Testing experience (enterprise level preferred) </li> <li>Solid understanding of black box testing and good experience with manual integration testing </li> <li>Practical experience in <strong>test automation</strong> using programing language (Python preferred) </li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>operating systems</strong> (Linux Windows preferred); how they are installed and configured </li> <li>Strong experience with <strong>virtualization </strong>- VMware, Hyper-V, UTM, and similar </li> <li>Proficient with <strong>scripting languages </strong>- Shell, Bash, PowerShell, etc., and familiar with their use for streamlining day to day tasks </li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>network security</strong>, experience in using packet capture tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc) is a plus </li> <li>Must be familiar with terms like authentication, file signature, and certificates </li> </ul> </li> <li>Nice to have experience <ul> <li>Experience or knowledge in any of the following areas—database administration, building AI models, or performance testing, would be an additional asset.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong><br>Additional offering</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Attractive remuneration and comprehensive benefits </li> <li>All full-time employees are eligible to receive restricted stock units.
