In this role, you will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to deliver new features, reduce technical debt, mentor and develop engineers, and ensure strong project execution. You will lead the team through a major rearchitecture of the product, so deep technical expertise and the ability to operate hands-on at an architectural level are critical to success.<br><br><em><strong>*We are looking for someone that can work market hours, starting at 6:30am Monday through Friday. </strong></em></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Your impact</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with product management and design teams to understand business needs, growth objectives, and market dynamics</li> <li>Create a culture of innovation and technical excellence, encouraging experimentation and exploring new opportunities for company growth</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, automation, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and quality</li> <li>Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, enabling a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement</li> <li>Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the engineering teams, holding individuals accountable for their deliverables</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you bring</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience</strong> - 3+ years of experience working as Software Engineering Manager within a high performing Engineering organization, but flexible depending on technical leadership experience</li> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in software development and delivery owning a highly visible and large technical scope and an in-depth knowledge of software architectures</li> <li>Experience in building and managing large scale software applications in a fast-paced, high-growth environment</li> </ul> <li><strong>Education</strong> - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field</li> <li><strong>Technical aptitude</strong> - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (we use Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Postgres, Kafka, Ku ...
