Become the leading platform to create animated content. 👋 Who you are You are a hands-on design leader with a deep passion for craft and a strong belief in close collaboration with engineers to bring excellence into every product detail, from high-level user experience to the finest interface interaction. You thrive at the intersection of design and engineering, ensuring that every feature we ship is thoughtful, cohesive, and beautifully executed. 6+ years of experience designing for high-growth startups and/or scale-ups at a senior or director position, with a proven track record of shipping polished, user-centered products Outstanding visual design skills, with strong command of typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy A sharp eye for design, obsessive attention to detail, and an intuitive sense of what feels right A natural problem-solver who enjoys making the complex feel simple and elegant Deep appreciation for design craft, and a creative sensibility shaped by curiosity across disciplines Experience in motion design (bonus if you’ve used Jitter or explored similar tools) Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment where speed, autonomy, and high standards go hand in hand 💥 What you’ll do You’ll be the first software designer to join the product team as we enter the next phase of Jitter’s growth. This is a foundational role, with the mission to own the end-to-end product experience and raise the design quality across every detail of the platform. Own the craft. You’ll be responsible for the full execution of Jitter’s core product design: every pixel, every interaction, every moment of the user journey. You’ll have the authority to challenge assumptions, rethink workflows, and simplify complexity across the interface. Raise the bar. Our goal is to stand shoulder to shoulder with the best-designed products in the world (Apple, Figma, Linear, Framer, etc). You’ll set the standard, push the limits of our craft, and help establish design excellence as a core company value. Shape and grow the Product Design team. You'll play a key role in shaping and scaling the Product Design team from the ground up, from hiring exceptional talent and mentoring designers, to defining strong, cross-functional ways of working across design, product, and engineering. Be part of the bigger picture.
