Our users and contributors have helped ensure that the Elastic Stack (including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash) is more than just code — they are free and open projects that people love to use and love to talk about.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Are you keen on sharing technology with the world and supporting our global user-base? Your activities as a Developer Advocate at Elastic would include:</p> <ul style="text-align: justify;"> <li>Speaking publicly at in-person and virtual conferences or <a href="https://www.meetup.com/pro/elastic/" target="_blank">meetups.</a></li> <li>Answering questions from developers on <a href="https://discuss.elastic.co" target="_blank">Discuss</a> (our forum), <a href="https://ela.st/slack" target="_blank">Slack</a> and other forums.</li> <li>Building and sharing content, including social media posts, in-depth blog posts, example code, demos, tutorials and videos on <a href="https://www.elastic.co/search-labs" target="_blank">elastic.co</a> or our <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@OfficialElasticCommunity" target="_blank">YouTube channel.</a></li> <li>Contributing code on <a href="https://github.com/elastic" target="_blank">GitHub</a> both to Elastic and external repositories.</li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;">The DevRel team's mission is to educate and help our users succeed by being (or the willingness to become) an expert in Elasticsearch and the Elastic Stack within the search and AI ecosystem.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">If you read this far and think: "that's me!" — You probably won't need to read any further, and we should have a conversation. But if you doubt the type of experience we expect you to have, read on.</p> <h3><strong>What You Will Be Doing :</strong></h3> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Foster the Elastic Community in Europe (EMEA), with a <strong>local focus on Amsterdam</strong>.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Create technical content around the Elastic Stack such as code examples, talks, blog posts, videos, and demos.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Speak at virtual and in-person events like conferences, meetups, and lunch learn sessions in the Amsterdam area and throughout EMEA.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Answer technical questions on Discuss, Slack, developer forums, social media, and at events.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Reviewing colleagues content for technical accuracy.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Contribute to Elastic repositories or external ones to integrate better with Elastic technologies.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Help users be successful with Elastic’s stack, solutions, and cloud offerings.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You Bring :</strong></h3> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Strong technical background and experience in an engineering role.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Demonstrated ability to create compelling content about technology — including speaking, writing, and demoing.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Empathy for the community to help them solve their issues, provide internal feedback to make Elastic’s products better, and fix problems where possible.</li> <li style="te ...
