We offer you the opportunity to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of disciplines.</p> <p> </p></div><h3><strong>About the role</strong></h3> <p>We’re looking for a <strong>12‑month UX Research Intern</strong> to partner on a variety of research projects, with a strong emphasis on international user research. In this role, you will be mentored by a senior UX researcher and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to shape product decisions with mixed‑methods insights (qualitative and quantitative).</p> <p> </p> <h3><strong> What you’ll be doing </strong></h3> <ul> <li>Plan and execute mixed‑methods studies (interviews, usability tests, diary studies, concept tests, and surveys) across multiple countries and cultures.</li> <li>Support international research operations: participant recruiting, localization, incentives, and vendor coordination.</li> <li>Design, program, and analyze surveys (e.g., screening, satisfaction, feature adoption) using best practices in sampling and question design.</li> <li>Conduct moderated and unmoderated qualitative research; synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights.</li> <li>Collaborate with data science on triangulating behavioral data with attitudinal research to tell a cohesive story.</li> <li>Synthesize and communicate insights through reports, debriefs, and concise readouts tailored to diverse stakeholders.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>We are excited if you have</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a full‑time, degree‑seeking program and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Design, Data Science, or a related field.</li> <li>Due to graduate in December 2027 or later</li> <li>Demonstrated interest or experience in international/cross‑cultural research.</li> <li>Familiarity with mixed‑methods research and comfort moving between qualitative and quantitative approaches.</li> <li>Experience designing and analyzing surveys (e.g., in Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or similar).</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to tailor insights to technical and non‑technical audiences.</li> <li>Strong organization and prioritization skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and efficiently with remote supervision and distributed teams.</li> <li>Endless empathy for the user.</li> <li>Bonus: experience with statistics for survey analysis (e.g., significance testing, segmentation), usability benchmarking, or multilingual research.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p> </p> <h3 style="font-family: GothamBold,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;"><strong>Our Hybrid Work Approach</strong></h3> <p>Roku fosters an inclusive and collaborative environment where teams work in the office Monday through Thursday.
