Available in more than 100 countries — including the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Africa — Strike is building a better financial system powered by Bitcoin. Bitcoin is better money. Strike is how you use it.

Role:

Strike is hiring a US Regulatory Compliance Lead to own and run our regulatory compliance program for our US operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), this is a rare startup role with high visibility and real autonomy: you’ll be both the hands-on operator driving the day-to-day work (licensing filings, evidence production, exam responses) and the program leader setting the strategy, operating cadence, and priorities that keep Strike in a strong regulatory compliance position as we scale.

You’ll lead key workstreams across state money transmitter licensing, MSB obligations, and lending-related licensing/compliance requirements (as applicable to our products), and you’ll be a primary point of contact for regulator engagement related to licensing and exams.

Location: Remote - Americas (US Time Zone availability is a strict requirement)

What you’ll do

Own the end-to-end lifecycle of US MTLs: renewals, amendments, and reporting

Administer licensing workflows in NMLS; own the licensing calendar and lead a cross-functional intake process—partnering with Legal, Finance, and Data to gather inputs, validate data, and complete required filings and reporting on time.

Lead regulatory examinations: planning, request management, evidence production, written responses, and remediation tracking

Maintain program governance: policies/procedures, monitoring/testing, and closed-loop issue management

Own lending-related licensing and compliance obligations, including licensing maintenance, required reporting, and examination support.

Coordinate independent AML/Sanctions audits and drive timely remediation

Own and execute a Compliance Monitoring Program—design testing plans, perform/control testing, document results, and drive remediation to closure.

Oversee our US compliance training program (new hire + annual + targeted refreshers)

Prepare clear updates for Executive leadership/Board; improve workflows using automation/AI where appropriate

What we’re looking for

6+ years regulatory compliance experience in financial services, payments/FinTech, or crypto

High-output operator: you can personally draft regulator-ready narratives, build trackers, assemble evidence, and drive cross-functional follow-through.

Proven experience building and maintaining a compliance governance program, including policies/procedures, monitoring/testing, issue management, and management/Board reporting.

Deep hands-on experience with US state MTL licensing + MSB obligations and NMLS fluence

Direct regulator and exam experience (including drafting responses and managing evidence)

Strong writing, organization, and execution skills; comfortable driving work cross-functionally in a startup

Working knowledge of state money transmitter laws, and strong familiarity with BSA/AML and OFAC regulations

Familiarity with lending compliance/licensing considerations (e.g., TILA, ECOA, UDAAP/UDAP) is a plus

Nice to Have

Knowledge of the Bitcoin industry and willingness to gain expertise of the compliance nuances in the Bitcoin space.

Lending license compliance experience (e.g., TILA, ECOA)

Experience building compliance processes in a high-growth environment ... (truncated, view full listing at source)
