<p>Equinox seeks a Buyer for Women’s apparel. This candidate should have a minimum of 1-3 years corporate retail experience in Buying/Planning. The ideal candidate would have worked in a multi-vendor and multi store environment with an understanding of curating assortments and allocating product.</p><p>This position will report directly to the Director of Buying and sits at the company’s headquarters at Hudson Yards. </p><ul><li>RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Responsible for the selection, development, and procurement of all merchandise for assigned departments and the performance of that merchandise as outlined in annual profit plans.</li><li>Accountable for sales, gross profit, and inventory performance against approved plans.</li><li>Establish and maintain vendor relationships and attend buying appointments.</li><li>Negotiate buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, and delivery terms)</li><li>Manage in season inventory levels thru RTVs, transfers, reorders, and receipt flow.</li><li>Partner with planning to manage and drive Open to Buy forecasts.</li><li>Continually research and explore new trends in marketplace and category</li><li>Establish cross-functional relationships to effectively grow and maintain business and financial expectations</li><li>Lead and develop other members of the merchandising team</li></ul></li></ul>
<ul><li>Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office applications (Excel proficiency a must)</li><li>Highly organized, detail oriented and accurate</li><li>Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree; Merchandise/Planning or Fashion Related Degree preferred.</li><li>Strong command of retail math concepts and statistical analysis.</li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities.</li><li>Enthusiastic, energetic, personable, hardworking, flexible, and diligent.</li><li>1 - 3 years of experience</li></ul><p>Pay Transparency: Min $75,000 - Max $85,000 annually</p>
