The result: seamless implementation, clear stakeholder alignment, and lasting business impact.</p></div><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p> <p>We are looking to recruit a detail-oriented, Accounts Assistant. As a key member of the finance team, the Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting services. You will be responsible for managing core financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and contributing to the overall efficiency and growth of the business. <strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Process and reconcile <strong>supplier invoices</strong>, staff expenses, and credit card transactions.</li> <li>Assist with daily and monthly tasks for the Financial Accountant</li> <li>Perform daily and monthly <strong>bank reconciliations</strong></li> <li>Assist with <strong>monthly management accounts</strong>, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries and reconciliations.</li> <li>A<strong>ccounts payable/receivable management</strong>.</li> <li>Generate customer <strong>invoices</strong>, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely customer communications along with relevant timesheet reporting.</li> <li>Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely posting of transactions</li> <li>Support <strong>month-end processes</strong> and <strong>management accounts preparation</strong></li> <li>Maintain accurate <strong>ledger and project accounting records</strong></li> <li>Ensure compliance with <strong>financial policies </strong>and internal controls.</li> <li>Support the timely <strong>payment of creditors</strong> and general accounting transactions</li> <li>Manage a range of <strong>ad-hoc financial reports</strong> to support internal decision-making</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A degree in Finance or related field; <strong>actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification</strong> (e.g., ACCA, ACA)</li> <li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role</li> <li>Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and month-end procedures</li> <li>Experience preparing monthly management accounts</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>IFRS, GAAP</strong>, and basic bookkeeping procedures</li> <li>Solid knowledge of <strong>accounting regulations and compliance</strong></li> <li>Strong Excel skills; experience with Sage accounting software and other software a plus (CoreTime, Salesforce HR Duo is a plus)</li> <li>Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisational skills</li> <li>Proven technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mindset</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>What’s In It For You? </strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Opportunity </strong>to work with real responsibility and learning opportunity</li> <li><strong>Flexible working</strong>: <strong>37.5 hours per week</strong>.</li> <li><strong>This is a fully office based role</strong></li> <li><strong>22 days annual leave pro rata</strong>, plus additional days for long service<br>A collaborative and supportive team culture with real growth opportunities</li> </ul> <p>At Nucleo, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace where everyone feels welcome and ...
