This role partners closely with sales, product, and engineering to help prospective and existing customers design, validate, and scale mission-critical systems on Temporal.</p> <p>You will work directly with engineering leaders and senior developers at high-growth and enterprise customers, helping them understand when and how to use Temporal, guiding architectural decisions, and ensuring successful adoption across their organizations.</p> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, assisting with scoping and sizing opportunities and offering guidance on technical fit and challenges for the DACH region.</li> <li>Lead customer discovery to understand architecture, constraints, and success criteria, and map those to Temporal-based solutions</li> <li>Design end-to-end reference architectures that demonstrate how Temporal fits into existing services, data stores, and infrastructure</li> <li>Build and deliver high-impact demos and technical narratives that clearly show how Temporal solves real customer pain</li> <li>Run deep technical workshops, whiteboard sessions, and proof-of-concept engagements with engineering and architecture teams</li> <li>Provide hands-on guidance on best practices for workflow and activity design, testing strategies, and operationalization of Temporal in production</li> <li>Identify and mitigate technical risks in customer projects, escalating and collaborating with Product and Engineering as needed</li> <li>Capture and communicate customer feedback and feature requests into Product, influencing roadmap and prioritization</li> <li>Contribute to reusable assets for the field (reference architectures, example workflows, solution playbooks, and enablement content)</li> <li>Represent Temporal in customer meetings, executive briefings, and at community events or conferences in the DACH market</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Significant experience (typically several years) in <strong>customer-facing, technical pre-sales or post-sales roles</strong> such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Field Engineer, or equivalent</li> <li>Strong background in designing and operating <strong>distributed systems</strong> or cloud-native applications, with a deep understanding of reliability, scalability, and failure modes</li> <li>Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, outcome-focused narratives for both technical and business audiences</li> <li>Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal’s supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, Ruby or PHP.</li> <li>Practical experience with cloud platforms (such as A ...
