Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.  WHAT YOU’LL DO - Act as the DRI for procurement and vendor management, overseeing the full lifecycle from vendor onboarding through renewal and offboarding. - Partner with Legal, Finance, Partnerships, and Operations to develop scalable systems for vendor sourcing, contract review, compliance, and spend. - Create and implement procurement templates and tools that make it easy for teams to move fast while maintaining accountability. - Lead contract negotiations to drive favorable terms, manage spend, and minimize risk across all categories. - Track and analyze company-wide vendor spend, providing actionable insights to leadership on efficiency, performance, and ROI. - Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor performance aligns with Sierra’s strategic priorities and operating standards. WHAT YOU’LL BRING - 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or vendor management experience at a high-growth tech company. - Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing complex vendor relationships. - Deep understanding of procurement best practices, supplier risk assessment, and spend optimization. - Strong analytical and organizational skills, with experience building or refining procurement processes or systems. - Ability to communicate effectively and build trust across Legal, Finance, and operational teams. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience. EVEN BETTER… - Experience implementing or managing procurement and spend management platforms (e.g., Zip, Ironclad, or similar). - Familiarity with AI, SaaS, or enterprise technology ecosystems. - Understanding of data security, compliance, and vendor due diligence in regulated industries.
