Reporting to the SVP, Brand Community, you'll own the end-to-end brand vision and ensure Crunchyroll remains clear, distinctive, and culturally relevant in a fast-evolving global entertainment landscape.</p> <p>You'll oversee brand strategy, campaigns, and creative expression across markets, balancing long-term brand equity with near-term growth. You'll shape how Crunchyroll shows up across campaigns, partnerships, and cultural moments, strengthening fan connection and expanding global reach. We ask that you have strong executive presence, cross-company influence, and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational depth.</p> <p><strong>Brand Strategy Differentiation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define and evolve Crunchyroll's global brand strategy, positioning, and narrative in alignment with company vision and long-term growth objectives</li> <li>Serve as the primary steward of the brand, ensuring consistency, clarity, and differentiation across all consumer touchpoints</li> <li>Identify white space and emerging opportunities within anime, fandom, and broader culture</li> </ul> <p><strong>Integrated Brand Marketing Growth</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and execution of large-scale, integrated brand campaigns</li> <li>Drive emotional connection with fans while delivering measurable business impact, including subscriber growth</li> <li>Partner closely with Creative, Comms, Growth, Product Marketing, Content, and Regional teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>Creative, Storytelling Cultural Impact</strong></p> <ul> <li>Set the creative vision and bar for brand expression</li> <li>Oversee brand identity, voice, and storytelling across advertising, social, content and partnerships</li> <li>Lead brand moments tied to major releases, events, and cultural milestones</li> </ul> <p><strong>Cross-Functional Executive Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Embed brand thinking across all teams and lines of business</li> <li>Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership on brand health and cultural relevance</li> <li>Align global and regional stakeholders around a unified brand vision</li> </ul> <p><strong>Team Organizational Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global brand marketing team</li> <li>Establish clear priorities, operating rhythms, and success metrics</li> <li>Lead agency and partner relationships with high standards</li> </ul> <p><strong>Measurement Insight</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define and track brand health metrics including awareness, affinity, and advocacy</li> <li>Leverage fan insights and data to refine strategy and execution</li> <li>Balance qualitative cultural signals with quantitative performance data</li> </ul> <p>We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.</p> <h2>About You</h2> <p>We get excited about candidates, like you, because...</p> <ul> <li>15+ years in brand marketing with senior leadership experience</li> <li>Global brand leadership experience</li> <li>Track record of building differentiated, culturally relevant brands</li> <li>Experience in anime, entertainment, media, gaming, or culture-focused brands</li> <li>Experience engaging passion-driven audiences or fandoms</li> <li>Strong creati ...
