Job Description

Release & Quality Engineer QUINDAR Quindar builds modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software with a simple mission: to operate satellites like servers. Our platform replaces fragmented, legacy ground systems with an integrated, automation-driven approach that brings modern software velocity to space operations. We're a small, fast-moving team with deep aerospace and software roots, energized by big challenges and motivated by the impact we have on real missions in this next chapter of the Space Age. If you want to work with sharp, ambitious people who push boundaries, move quickly, and are excited to take space operations to the next level, Quindar is the place to do it. Release & Quality Engineer What You’ll Be Doing At Quindar, we build mission-critical software that operates real satellites in orbit. In this role, you will: - Own and coordinate the software release process from validation through deployment - Improve release standards, visibility, checklists, and overall quality discipline - Lead regression and manual validation efforts across critical operational workflows - Track and manage defects, ensuring issues are clearly documented, prioritized, and verified before release - Monitor releases post-deployment and use observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus) to validate system health and catch regressions early - Work closely with Platform and SRE to execute and continuously improve deployment processes - Contribute to end-to-end test coverage for mission-critical user paths Qualifications Technical Skills - Strong experience in software QA and release engineering, or similar roles - Experience leading structured manual validation and regression testing - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern git-based workflows - Experience working with cloud-based systems, preferably in AWS environments and with Kubernetes - Proficiency in Python; familiarity with Typescript/Javascript is a plus - Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira, Linear) What Makes You Stand Out - You take ownership of quality and hold a high bar - You’re organized and process-oriented without being bureaucratic - You communicate clearly and consistently, both live and in writing - You stay calm and structured during high-stakes releases - You proactively identify risks and raise concerns early Background - 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, release engineering, DevOps, or related roles - Experience supporting complex production software systems - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience) - Active U.S. Security Clearance preferred but not required ITAR REQUIREMENTS: - To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
