<p>The Medical Communications Design Specialist intern supports the development of visually compelling medical communications materials that translate complex scientific information into intuitive, engaging formats. This role partners with Medical Writers, Scientific Strategists, and cross-functional teams to bring science to life through structured design and data visualization. The position offers hands-on experience working within a regulated healthcare environment. Success is measured by clarity of visual communication, accuracy in representing scientific data, and adherence to brand and compliance standards.</p><p><u>Internship Term</u>: May - August, 2026</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Design speaker decks, advisory board presentations, and congress materials using PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite aligned to brand and regulatory guidelines.</li><li>Create data visualizations (charts, graphs, infographics) that accurately represent clinical trial data and published research.</li><li>Translate complex scientific content into clear layouts and visual hierarchies in collaboration with Medical Writers and Strategists.</li><li>Revise materials based on medical, legal, and client feedback while maintaining version control and document integrity.</li><li>Support the production of print and digital medical communications assets, ensuring consistency across formats and channels.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul><li>Portfolio demonstrating structured presentation design and data visualization work that clearly explains complex scientific or technical information, with visible evidence of information hierarchy, chart accuracy, and design rationale.</li><li>Graduating by April 2026 or graduated within the past three years in <strong>Graphic Design</strong>, <strong>Information Design</strong>, <strong>Biomedical Communications</strong>, or related field</li><li>Proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), demonstrated through polished, client-ready presentation or publication materials.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to interpret scientific or clinical content and translate it into structured visual systems that improve clarity, comprehension, and audience engagement.</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines while maintaining visual accuracy and document integrity.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired:</strong></p><ul><li>Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.</li><li>Coursework or exposure to life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries demonstrated through projects or academic focus.</li><li>Experience designing materials for professional or academic presentations with measurable outcomes (e.g., conference presentation, graded capstone project).</li><li>Familiarity with data visualization best practices, including accurate chart selection and labeling conventions.</li><li>Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and incorporating structured feedback into revised deliverables.</li></ul>
<p>This posting is for a newly created role at Klick.
