You'll shape how external content is surfaced, integrated, and experienced across Nextdoor, ensuring it feels native, relevant, and valuable to the communities we serve.</p> <p>We're looking for a product thinker who understands the nuances of content ecosystems — someone who can navigate partnerships, APIs, and editorial considerations while staying grounded in user needs and data. You'll partner closely with engineering, data science, design, and business development to build scalable systems for content ingestion, curation, and distribution that drive engagement and trust.</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone energized by the intersection of content, product, and community — and who sees third-party content as a lever for deepening neighborhood connection.</p> <h4><strong>The</strong><strong> </strong><strong>Impact</strong><strong> You’ll Make</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Define and execute the product strategy for third-party content experiences, including news, alerts, journalist contributions, and local influencer content.</li> <li>Design scalable systems for content ingestion, curation, and surfacing that balance relevance, quality, and timeliness.</li> <li>Partner with business development and external stakeholders to understand publisher needs and translate them into product requirements.</li> <li>Run experiments to optimize how third-party content drives engagement, retention, and trust within neighborhoods.</li> <li>Establish quality signals and feedback loops to ensure content meets community standards and user expectations.</li> <li>Collaborate across engineering, design, data science, and policy to navigate the unique challenges of integrating external content sources.</li> <li>Balance short-term iteration with long-term platform vision, setting clear success metrics tied to content engagement and neighborhood health.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>What You’ll Bring To The Team</strong></h4> <ul> <li>3+ years of product management experience, ideally in content, media, or platform roles involving third-party integrations.</li> <li>Experience working with content APIs, publisher partnerships, or content management systems.</li> <li>A strong product intuition grounded in empathy, paired with an understanding of what makes content experiences feel relevant and trustworthy.</li> <li>Familiarity with content curation, ranking, or recommendation systems — and the tradeoffs involved.</li> <li>Comfort synthesizing quantitative data and qualitative insights to shape content strategy.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working across internal teams and external partners.</li> <li>Curiosity about local news ecosystems, journalism, or creator/influencer dynamics is a plus.</li> <li>A bias toward action and a passion for building products that strengthen informed, connected communities.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Rewards</strong></h4> <p>Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create our total rewards package.
