ASIC Hardware Test Engineer - Hybrid

Meet the Team As a Test Engineer in Silicon Operations, you’ll join forces with expert ASIC design teams in the Central Hardware Group, passionate Test Engineers within Silicon Operations, and Cisco’s dynamic NPI teams. Together, you’ll partner with world-class manufacturing partners, triaging issues and orchestrating seamless OSAT production test activities. Your Impact As a Test Engineer in Silicon Operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing Cisco’s cutting-edge ASIC technology. You’ll lead the ATE test bring-up process, working alongside talented teams to develop, refine, and release test programs for production. Your expertise will drive pattern generation, troubleshooting, and test coverage optimization, ensuring exceptional quality for high-volume manufacturing. You’ll design and implement innovative tests, proactively identifying and closing coverage gaps. Collaborating with Tier-1 OSATs, you’ll manage manufacturing test operations and tackle quality challenges, making a measurable impact on Cisco’s products and customer experience. Minimum Qualification Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience) 7+ years’ experience in SOC/VLSI/ bring-up, production, characterization, and test engineering. Excellent working knowledge of Advantest 93000 tester (Smartest 7 and 8) for characterization and production testing. Highly skilled in writing code in C, C++, Java, 93k test methods, PERL, and Python. Preferred Qualification Excellent knowledge of the latest state-of-the-art trends in DFT insertion techniques, including Scan, ATPG, JTAG, MBIST, PVT and SerDes. Experience with yield improvement and test time reduction activities. Strong teamwork & collaboration skills. Excellent problem solving & effective conflict resolution skills. An effective multi-functional communicator with strong interpersonal skills and multi-functional leadership to get results and change across organizations up to the executive level.
